Grade VI & VII

Web- design is the process of planning, conceptualizing, and !!arranging content online. Today, designing websites goes beyond aesthetics to include the website’s overall functionality. Web design also includes web and mobile application and user-interface design. To further enhance the students technical skill and their self-confidence a Webpage Designing Workshop was held on 24th December for students of class VI-VII, as a part of Friday Activity.Mrs. Vinita, the Computer Science teacher informed the students about the importance of Webpages and their uses in current times.The students were shown the sample of webpages and the process of creation of webpages.The students listened attentively and were enthusiastic to learn a new skill.Later, the students created their own webpages and shared it with the teachers.This workshop was fruitful as well as enriching as the students applied the knowledge learnt in real life setting.

    Classes VIII & IX

    Incorporating mindfulness into education has been linked to improving academic and social and emotional learning. With an aim to get students to reflect on their own habits and beliefs and to see how small changes can make a positive impact, Mindfulness workshop was conducted in classes VIII -IX in school auditorium by Ms. Deepshikha. Mindfulness positively alter cognitive processes, increase  students' ability to stay engaged, regulate emotions,  decrease anxiety, create a positive outlook, improve sleep, and create better habits. Workshop was filled with engaging and enriching activities that were aimed to facilitate mindfulness towards one’s self and others. Students learnt the technique of mindfulness and note down the important points to practice it in daily life.

      Christmas Craft Grade II III IV & V

      Christmas Craft Grade II III IV & V

      As Christmas is approaching, a Christmas Craft Activity was planned for students of Grade 2 and 3 on 23rd Dec' 2021 as a part of their 'Thursday Activity'. Students were demonstrated with the craft making by their respective class teachers. Students used beautiful glitter sheets, stars, beads, shiny decorative stones, sequins, ribbons and pastel sheets etc. to make beautiful Christmas bells. The happiness and joy of making bells was clearly visible on students’ faces. They all enjoyed making the craft and they were really excited to decorate their Christmas Tree with the beautiful bells.         Waste Management Workshop Grade IV & V

        Waste Management Workshop Grade IV & V

        Refuse what you don't need; Reduce what you do need; Reuse what you consume; Recycle what you cannot refuse, reduce or reuse and compost the rest.
        With this idea we, at Scholars organised a workshop on WASTE MANAGEMENT for Grade 4&5 on 16/12/21. Students were stipulated on how much waste they create each and every day and how important it is to seduce to make our mother EARTH cleaner and greener. They were shown a thought provoking power point to understand the repercussions of waste and how it creates different problems like diseases and different types of pollution. In the end the little Scholarites were given chance to express the solutions considering the use of 3R's in our daily life. The workshop was followed by a small quiz on Microsoft Forms to evaluate students' understanding for the same. 
        Students thoroughly enjoyed and learnt during the interactive workshop session.

          How are my Social Skills
           
          Grade VIII - IX 
           
          Social skills are the skills we use to communicate and interact with each other, both verbally and non-verbally, through gestures, body language and our personal appearance. Developing social skills in children prepares them for a lifetime of healthier interactions in all aspects of life. To reinforce effective  social skills in our students , a workshop - *How Are MY Social Skills* was conducted in classes VIII -IX as a Friday Activity virtually on Microsoft Teams on 10th December 2021. Students were given a questionnare to identify their social skills and were guided how they can channelize  their social skills. Students were guided  further that with well-developed social skills they  are likely to gain confidence in their abilities to approach situations and complete tasks more successfully. Everyone enjoyed the session thoroughly. Sharing few glimpses of the workshop.

            Debate Competition Grade IV & V

            Debate Competition Grade IV & V

            The purpose of debates is to explore issues, not end them.

            A Debate Competition has been organised by Scholars on 9th December, 2021. The aim of the competition was to hone public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions. The speakers of classes 4 & 5 of all four clubs spoke eloquently on the topic
             "At what age should a child be given a cell phone" which was judged by Ms. Pooja Oberoi and Ms. Anjali.
            The session was a kaleidoscope of opinions,thoughts, ideas and perspectives that definitely enhanced the knowledge and understanding of the topic among the students.
            The participants performed well and made great impact on the audience and judges by their logics and reasons.

              Workshop on Safety Measures at Different Places Grade II - III

              Grade II - III : Workshop on Safety Measures at Different Places*
              "Safety Rules are Your Best Tools.” 
              It has been a constant endeavour  of Scholar Global School to sensitize our students to different issues and engage them in activities showcasing their creativity, confidence, competence and imagination .
              An array of a workshop  were organized with a view to sensitize the children about the different safety rules they need to follow at different places like-
              * At home 
              * In School 
              * In School bus 
              * On road 
              Students also learn about safety rules they need to follow during new normal to protect themselves and their families from the pandemic by watching different animated videos along with power point presentation.Now scholarites are ready to execute their learning in their day to day life and to spread awareness about  safety rules and importantance of safety rules in our lives.
