Friday Activity - Muhavaro ka Dumb Charades 
Classes VIII -IX
"CHILDREN MUST BE TAUGHT HOW TO THINK, NOT WHAT TO THINK” Activity is something where the students participate rigorously and bring about effective learning  experiences and with this child centric approach , we conducted an activity Muhavaro ka dumb charades for classes VIII-IX in school campus on Friday. Dumb Charades generally is a lively and entertaining activity where the child is mentally and physically involved.In this process of learning with fun, they experienced, memorized and understood the concepts of idioms and recapitulated idioms in Hindi .In this game, participant team was given Idioms in Hindi  to act it out without speaking to their respective team members within the stipulated time.This activity allowed the children to imagine,  experience, build, investigate , explore, create,act and make use of their senses for learning. Sharing few glimpses of the same

      Skating Competition

      Skating Competition

      Skating, sport in which bladelike runners or sets of wheels attached to shoes are used for gliding on ice or other surfaces helps kids burn off extra energy, build strong muscles, and maintain a healthy weight. It is a great way to alleviate back-to-school stress which provides a welcome distraction from everyday worries. 
      Scholarites are fond of Skating and never miss a single chance to enjoy learning and showing their skills at the skating court. So keeping their interest in our mind, Scholars Global School organised a "Skating Competition" on Oct 21, 2021 for Class IV-V students where they were given an opportunity to present their calibre and enjoy the sport while being a part of healthy competition. The students participated enthusiastically and mesmerized the audience with their expertise.
      The first position is grabbed by Yash (V Doves) of  Champions club. Second position was begged by Vansh( IV A )of  Champions club whereas Jeenisha (V Swans ) of Champions club  secured the third position.

         General Knowledge is an essential component of crystallized intelligence. In today’s time child needs to be active and aware about his/her surroundings. 
        So, keeping this in our mind Scholars Global School  organised a "GK Quiz Competition" on 21st October, 2021 for Class III students as a part of "Thursday Activity". It was conducted in Offline Mode. There was a tough competition among the highest scorers of Preliminary Round from each club. The students prepared well for the Quiz and highly thrilled for the same. The audience was very excited to witness the tooth and nail competition.

          Physical activity has been shown to stimulate chemicals in the brain that make you feel better. So playing sport regularly improves children's overall emotional wellbeing. Research shows there's a link between playing sport and self-esteem in children.

          Sports and co-curricular activities are an integral part of Scholars Global School. Keeping this in our mind we organised " Lawn Tennis Competition for Girls" as a part of "Thursday Activity on 7th October, 2021" in which the little Lawn Tennis players of "Class IV-V" were thrilled and participated enthusiastically. They showed their calibre in the Lawn Tennis Court and proved their passion for the sport and played well.
          The winners are First Position was grabbed by Victors. Second Position was backed by Leaders. Third Position was secured by Achievers.

            Sport is a major contributor to economic and social development. It has been considered a valuable tool for fostering communication and building bridges between communities and generations.

              Workshop on Science in our Homes

              Grade IV & V

              *The science and everyday life cannot and should not be separated.*
              Making students aware aboutbeing observant about the happenings around them, a workshop on *"Science in Home"* was organised for grades IV & V. 
              Simplest experiments with simplest tools readily available were conducted and shown to them. Different experiments shown during this workshop. This helped the students to relate and connect the science concepts with their real life. Enthusiasm of students and their participation clearly reflected their learnings taken away from the workshop.

                Story Telling ( Mythological Stories)

                Myths are stories that express meaning, morality or motivation.”
                As Mythological  stories have an important sociological function, helping us to understand ourselves as part of a wider human story, and where we fit within it. They shape our aspirations and give us meaning. To inculcate moral values , respect, kindness, courage, integrity, and compassion among students, Scholars Global School organised a Story Telling workshop on Mythological story about "Shravan Kumar’s Devotion To his Parents "for the students of Grade-II & III on 7/10/21. The session was indeed valuable and distinct. Children found it really interesting and they got engrossed in the story. It was an interactive session where children were taught the right way of loving, caring and showing respect towards their parents. Overall this session helped the young souls for learning moral values.

                  Declamation

                  Declamation (Grade VIII)

                  *Wednesday Activity - Declamation Competition*
                  To hone the oratory skills among the students *Declamation Competition* was organized as a Wednesday Activity in class VIII. The participants had to select a speech of a famous speaker and deliver an excerpt from the speech  in two to three minutes. The themes for declamation were-
                  1. Cyber crime and how not to be it's victim
                  2. Does social media broaden perspectives or isolate viewpoints
                  3. Gadgets have restricted children's imaginations
                  4.Teens on social media
                  The participants were in high zest and zeal. The bar rose extremely high for the competition, wherein, each participant could feel their pulse roaring as everyone was well prepared,  spoke confidently with expressions and excellent diction. The winners of this competition are :
                  1st position - Akshita -8B
                  2nd Position -Twinkle -8A
                  3rd Position -Vibha -8C
                  Consolation  - Jiya Dagar -8B & Harshika -8A

                    Diwali Craft Making Activity:

                    It's Diwali around the corner - the most awaited festival of the year - the sparkle  of the stars fails because there is pretty much glow of lights and candles everywhere. 
                    In regard of the occasion, the activity of Diwali craft making was planned for the students of Grade 2 and 3 as a part of Thursday activity on 28th October 2021. The students made the craft joyfully and decorated it with mirrors, crayons and ribbons.
                    The Covid time has given us the opportunity to smell and feel the fresh air with clean environment all around. This Diwali and coming years ahead let's make a promise with our little scholarites to celebrate GREEN DIWALI.

                      Dictionary Drill

                      Dictionary Drill Activity
                      A dictionary is one of the most important tools in a students’ life. A good dictionary can help you understand your subject better, improve your communication and improve your grades by making sure you are using words correctly. To enhance the vocabulary of the students and to make them better equipped in Dictionary usage, a Dictionary Drill Activity was conducted for Class 6-7 on 29th September 2021. The students were explained the various parts of dictionary through various activities, focussing on the functions of each part, be it pronunciation, guide words, and part of speech. The students enthusiastically participated in the fun and competitive team game in Quizizz, which was an Online Quiz with multiple players. The students applied the knowledge and solved the levels by finding the answers from dictionary. It was in all a great learning experience for the students.
