The importance of linguistic states , scheduled languages, central state relation are necessary to understand for a citizen specially students who are the future care taker of our democratic country.The questions put forth to the teams
were challenging, exciting, interesting and made the enthusiastic audience of classes VIII & IX applaud when their teams answered correctly.It was a very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience.

    Biome in your Pocket

    A Science Biome in Pocket quiz was held for classes VI-VII on 29th April 2022 in the Lecture Hall as a part of Friday activity. Four students from each club participated after qualifying in the preliminary round. As a trivia based on science, the event contained many questions related to biome, inventions, famous inventors and scientist. The participants actively participated in the competition as the quiz master grilled them with tricky questions. At the end, Achievers Club emerged winner with flying colours. The event was much appreciated endeavour by the school such events go a long way in moulding students personality and testing knowledge.

      Show and Tell Competition

      To develop students interest in learning through making use of vocabulary 'Show and Tell Competition' was  organized for grade II-III on 28th April 2022. The topics were as follow:
      ?What makes you happy.
      ?Gift I received or want for my birthday.
      ?Game 
      The preliminary round was conducted on 25 April 2022  in which all students participated enthusiastically. Those who qualified for the final round performed on 28th April 2022. Students showed their active participation with their alluring props and confidence in the final round.

      The winners of the competition from Grade ll  are as follows:

        Workshop on Math Matters in Everyday Life
        Math is how we describe our world when words are not enough. Everyone deserves to speak math and to play math,to enjoy its beauty and its power. We use math concepts, as well as the skills we learn from practicing math problems every day.
        Classes 4 and 5 were enlightened with different uses of Math in our everyday life on April 28,2022 as a part of Thursday Activity. The students were shown a Powerpoint Presentation. Various examples like logos of different organisations, animals ,flowers , buildings etc.were shown to the students where mathematical shapes and designs are used.
        The students ,then, drew the things on A4 size sheet and displayed yoga poses using different shapes taught in math class.

          Assembly - Class VIII C Date -25th April 2022
          Topic - Shakespeare and his world 

          Beauty is in the eyesmiley of the beholder- Shakespeare 
          SGS celebrated Shakespeare's Day to honour William Shakespeare , the father of English drama to whom English literature owes a lot.The assembly commenced with the students narrating important lines from Shakespeare's plays and the powerful rhetoric and brilliant rendition of the immortal lines of song  left the audience simply awestruck. The budding artiststparticipated with great zeal and enacted the famous play, Macbeth for a glimpse of Shakespeare's literary excellence.As a tribute to the bard's poetic genius, the students presented his evergreen sonnet,‘All the world is a stage' in the form of a dance in which they enacted the seven stages of life.School principal Mrs Poonam Saxena  urged the students to delve into the depths of literature by becoming avid readers.             In 21st Century, Information Technology has been engulfed into all aspects of technology, learning information and connectivity. Keeping the above into our minds In SGS, we timely provide several workshops to our students to learn and engage in modern advancements like computers, internet and benefits of Information Technology. On 22nd April’22 students of class VI and VII participated in competition of ‘Webpage Designing’ where they showcased their skills and engaged enthusiastically.

              Class Room Discipline and Time Management

              In the voyage of the discovery of excellence in the field of education for our students , We at Scholars Global School ensure  that the students develop their academic skills and to help them polish the much needed skills , activities for them are being conducted on timely basis. In lieu of same , an informative workshop was conducted for students of classes 10th and 12th on 'Class Room Discipline and Time Management' by Ms Ruchika and Ms Jyoti Kaushik . Discipline  and Time management are the two key factors that bring stability and structure into a student's life. The workshop laid emphasis on the need of being Disciplined as it lays the foundation for success in all walks of life. Students were engaged in few little activities so as they gain the maximum. Teachers gave directions to students regarding the tips and techniques using which they can plan their timetable for all activities in a balanced way. The students put forward their queries and received the solutions for the same.

                TERRA QUIZ Competition for little Scholarites

                "Orbiting Earth in the spaceship, we can know how beautiful the Earth is Let's preserve, increase its beauty, and most of all explore it."

                At Scholars, we continuously endeavor to enhance our students' awareness about their surroundings and continue creating opportunities for them to learn and grow more through various competitions. The school has organised the TERRA QUIZ Competition for little scholarites of Grade IV-V. The word "Terra" means land/territory which directly correlates to our planet EARTH. The competition was all about exploring and gaining knowledge about the blue planet in an interesting and informative way. At the end of the day students gained a lot about mother Earth.

                  Special AsseSpecial Assembly on – Earth Day

                  Special Assembly on – Earth Day 
                  “The Earth does not belong to man, The man belongs to Earth.”
                  The students of class IX & X enthusiastically participated in Specially Assembly to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth. On the occasion of the Earth Day, an array of creative performance was showcased with a view to sensitize the children about the conservation of natural resources  and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful.The assembly started with offering prayers to Almighty followed by the thought of the day. Students presented information and data related to the topic. Two poems spreading awareness towards saving Mother earth were presented by the students of grade IX.The melodious song sung by the students motivated the student audience to imbibe the thought of conserving Natural resources. The assembly came to end with a  Quiz pertaining to the topic.

                    “Good manners reflect something from the inside an innate sense of Consideration for others and respect for self”. In SGS we not only Educate the students but also nurture them as a whole personality. As we begin the new session with zeal and enthusiasm it is essential to revisit the school rules.                       Classroom rules and school discipline are the most crucial parts for the Smooth functioning of  teaching - learning process. Every child has the right to expect a conducive teaching and learning environment. Likewise every student has the responsibility to contribute to that environment. To  promote a sense of responsibility among students an informative workshop was organised on 15th April , 2022 for classes VIII -IX. Through this students understood the mandatory code of conduct and set of rules which need to be adhered to for desirable behavior. In the workshop  a detailed overview of classroom rules and norms was given using power point presentation, videos and discussion! A question answer round was conducted to test students understanding about the same.

                        Workshop on School Rules and Etiquette

                        Learning proper rules and etiquettes is a life skill. Rules are made to be followed to maintain decorum and decency in an institution.

                        Keeping this thought in mind a workshop on school rules and etiquettes was organised on 14th April 2022, for class II and III. The aim of the workshop was to made students aware about the class rules . They were also made to understand how essential these are for an individual's growth. The workshop was quite interactive where students participated actively and shared different rules and etiquettes as per their knowledge. To check their understanding and learning the workshop was followed by a worksheet on the same. The students enjoyed the session and were enlightened by the way one should behave in school premises.

                          Special Assembly-Dr B.R Amedkar Jayanti

                          B.R. Ambedkar said - “Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence”.

                          Dr. Ambedkar was a man of many virtues. He was a jurist, economist, politician, and a social reformist. Popularly known as Babasaheb, he was a man of social substance who became India’s first ever independent law minister and principal architect of the Indian Constitution.

                          To pay tribute to his contributions made and to mark 130th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, students of class X celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti on 13th April, 2022 in the school premises. A special assembly was conducted to commemorate his teachings and works. The assembly started with a prayer to seek blessings from the Almighty followed by the skit which depicted the life history of Dr. Ambedkar. Moving further, a special presentation was made by the students to explain significance of the day and how Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s teachings can help us in our daily lives. Students mesmerised audience by melodious song and vibrant dance performance. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, where all the students and teachers sang with honour and pride!
